11. Permissions We Request

11.1 Notification Access

We request permission to read notifications from apps you explicitly select. This allows OLL.E to analyze incoming messages or alerts and determine if they match your saved request rules.

Important: Notification content is only processed in your device’s memory and by our secure backend decision service. It is never permanently stored on our servers. Once evaluated, it is immediately discarded.

11.2 Storage and Media

We may request access to your device’s storage so you can upload a profile picture or choose custom alarm sounds.

11.3 No Call or SMS Permission on Device

OLL.E does not request or access your phone’s native Call or SMS permissions.

  • Instead, if you enable the “Call me” feature as a response method, our secure backend telephony system will place an automated call to the phone number you provided, using a cloud calling service.
  • At Your Own Risk: We do not verify phone numbers. If you enter an incorrect number, unintended recipients may receive your alert call. You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any number you provide.

12. Data Retention

We retain your personal information (such as account data and request settings) only as long as needed to operate OLL.E and fulfill your requests.

  • Notification content is never stored; it is processed in memory and then immediately discarded.
  • Freelance job listings are analyzed by our servers on a short-term basis (typically ≤30 minutes) solely to match them to your configured filters, then deleted.

If you delete your account, we will remove your profile data and settings, except where retention is required for legitimate business or legal reasons (like fraud prevention or accounting).

13. Data Processing and Legal Grounds

We process your personal information based on:
  • Your Consent: When you create an account, set up requests, or enable features like alarm or call responses.
  • Contractual Necessity: To deliver the services you explicitly configure.
  • Legitimate Interests: To maintain the security and functionality of our platform, troubleshoot issues, and improve our features.

We aim to handle your data responsibly in line with international privacy principles, even though we are an early-stage startup and not certified under specific frameworks like GDPR or CCPA.
